The Hong Kong Award for Young People


The Scheme “The Hong Kong Award for Young People” was formerly named “The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award”. It is run in more than 60 countries including Hong Kong. The objectives are to encourage and stimulate the enthusiasm and energies of young people, and to develop those qualities such as maturity and responsibility which will help young people throughout their lives, in their homes, jobs and relationships with other people

The Hong Kong Award for Young People is a programme about challenge, enterprise, effort and achievement.It gives young people a chance to constructively use their leisure time, to set and achieve personal goals anda to learn about themselves and their community through experiential learning either in a group or individually. There are three separate awards, namely, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Congratulation goes to Kwong Hoi Lam , Lau Ching Yi and Lo Man Ki. They successfully completed the requirements of the Hong Kong Award for Young People in 2011 and were awarded the Gold Award.
