Exploring connections, shaping futures

Welcome to the Department of Geography at St Stephen’s College, where we inspire students to explore the dynamic interplay between humanity and the planet. Our mission is to foster a deep understanding of spatial and temporal concepts across local, national, regional, and global scales. Through rigorous academic inquiry, students uncover patterns in physical landscapes and human activities while critically examining the challenges arising from human-environment interactions.
We prioritise developing students’ learning skills and higher-order thinking, equipping them with analytical, problem-solving, and evaluative abilities essential for self-directed study and lifelong learning. By integrating the HKDSE and IBDP curricula for S3-6 students, we provide a versatile platform for hands-on exploration of global issues, encouraging innovation and intellectual curiosity. Beyond academics, we cultivate environmentally responsible citizens who embrace national identity and global citizenship, grounded in positive values and a commitment to sustainable practices.
Join us as we navigate the complexities of our world, empowering students to become thoughtful leaders, critical thinkers, and stewards of tomorrow.
