Music Creativity

St Stephen’s College started to nurture students’ music creativity by the DSS Creativity Programme since 2008. Students were selected to learn writing songs and instrumental music with visiting composers. The programme cultivates composing skills to our students and provides promising student composers to write songs for the original musical theatres put on our tri-annual grand concerts.

Our school team mainly formed by students from the Music Creativity Programme won the “Best Music Award – Gold Prize” as well as the “Best Performance Award – Silver Prize” in the Final Performance held in Sha Tin Town Hall Auditorium in January 2012. Fung Kathleen Yee Sing, the student composer of our creative work also won the “Prize for Individual Composition” and scholarship of the HKCG Mentorship Scheme.
